Copperwire appoints Dr. Raghavan (Ram) Ramanan as Chief Scientific Officer & EVP, ESG Solutions

Sunnyvale, California --(BUSINESS WIRE)—Copperwire is pleased to announce that we have appointed Dr. Raghavan (Ram) Ramanan as our Chief Scientific Officer & EVP, ESG Solutions. A Fulbright Fellow, Dr. Ramanan is a globally recognized and respected authority in industrial sustainability, ESG, CSR and EHS through experience garnered over three decades in corporate (ExxonMobil), consulting (AECOM and ICF) and academic (IIT Chicago) arenas. He has led environmental impact projects for multiple multi-billion ventures globally. Dr. Ram has authored multiple books, presented, and published over fifty scientific, technical, and management papers and provided thought leadership briefings worldwide, such as The Conference Board, USA, the Reserve Bank of India, Northern Trust. He has led several advocacy efforts with EPA and World Bank/IFC leading to >$10 Billion savings of society’s resources. He has been an advisor at World Economic Forum and Echoing Green climate braintrusts, and a commencement speaker at UT Dallas.

Dr. Ram holds a PhD, from the University of Texas at Dallas, an executive MBA from the University of Texas in Austin, and a BS in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. He is a professional engineer (Texas and India), a chartered engineer (UK), and a board-certified environmental engineer of American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. He is the incoming Chair of Education Council and a Board Member of Air & Waste Management Association International (Founded 1907). His books include “Introduction to Sustainability Analytics,” 2018 and “Environmental Ethics and Sustainability” 2013, also published in Chinese, 2017.
